About Perranporth

Perranporth is a popular tourist destination on the north coast of Cornwall, UK, six miles south-west of Newquay. The village, and its 3 mile sandy beach, face the Atlantic, with hundreds of miles of uninterrupted ocean producing large waves, making it one of the most popular surfing destinations in Britain, along with neighbouring breaks at Newquay, Chapel Porth and Porthtowan.

Perranporth itself is a small Cornish town offering adequate shops and a variety of activities for all ages including a surf school, horse riding and sky diving club. Just outside the town golfing, gliding, horse-riding and fishing are on offer, (information and help with booking these is available). Situated within the town is  a boating lake, tennis courts, bowling green and a small pitch and putt course, as well as a well equipped children’s park and football area, all of which visitors can use during their stay.

A good choice of family restaurants and pubs are on offer in the town including “the Watering Hole’ which is situated actually on the beach and offer trampolining and other activities for the children as well as BBQ’s and live bands on various evenings. This is also a perfect spot to one of our fantastic sunsets.

The village is easily accessible from the main A30 into Cornwall by car. Buses run to and from the City of Truro, regularly. The nearest train station is either Truro or Newquay, both towns are about a 10 to 15 minute drive.

Newquay international airport with it's regular flights through out the UK is only 15 minutes drive away.
